DC Salsa Dance Events: Tribute To Salsa Choreographers
Tribute To Salsa Choreographers Nov 20 at Zanzibar a DC Salsa Meet Up Official Event & Dance Shoes, Clothing & Accessories Sale
Don't miss tonight's Fourth Annual Tribute to Salsa Choreographers Awards and Dance Show at Zanzibar on the Waterfront. The show will be presented in two parts beginning at 9:30 pm with 11 groups presenting 14 numbers. DJs, Bruno "El Unico" & Manuel Martinez will play music for dancing before, in between and after the two-part dance show. 2008 Awardees- Kim Yates, Karen Aguilar and Keith Givens. In addition Grace Badillo of Dancing With Grace will preside over a sale of Dance Shoes, Clothing, Jewelry and Accessories. Doors open at 5:00 pm. Margaritas are $2.00 until 7 pm. A salsa video plays on the big screen beginning at 6 pm followed by a beginner dance class from 7-7:45 pm. Order a light dinner from the bar menu. Cover is $5.00 before 9 pm and $10 after 9 PM for this special event.
